Just bring them all! I'm probably going to take .404 Jeffery, 9.3x62 and possibly 7x57

Here are some of my thoughts on what we could do.

3x shots at 50yds using shooting sticks, shooting at a scored target ie 10 ring, 9 ring etc

3x shots at 50yds freehand, shooting at a scored target

3x shots, timed. After first shot timer starts next two to be fired in 3-4 seconds 1 at 50yds off sticks, one freehand at 40yds, one freehand at 25yds, reactive type target (balloons, pieces of wood etc)

4x shots timed, shoot 2 shots at reactive target at 50yds, reload and shoot 2 more reactive targets at 50yds. Each miss is 5 seconds added to time.

Do something similar for "plains game rifles" but longer distances, ie 100yds instead of 50 yds.

Right, fingers crossed have the property sorted. At the moment I will say it is south of Timaru but north of Oamaru.
Dates I'm thinking of are late Jan - early Feb anyone have any preferences?

If it's not a first round hit you need to practice more

Something starting with .4 would be good.

And the good thing about owning and shooting a big bore. Is that all the guns that you thought kicked like a bastard, dont anymore
Velocity is thrilling, but diameter does the real killing.
