Thread: Assualt weapons now band in Canada

My son is living in Canada and he says it's getting pretty hot over there, there are more calls for bans on some sporting firearms which is going down like a lead ballon. Firearms with bore diameter 20 mm or greater and having a muzzle energy greater than 10,000 joules are according to the new regulations will be banned.
This will take out commonly used 10 and 12 gauge shotguns, and many expensive Big Game rifles and Double Guns along with 50 cal etc.
Apparently the Conservatives are getting stuck into the Liberals over the handling of the ban and it's almost a mirror image of what NZ is going through although the opposition over there is fighting back as Act did here but hopefully they have more success in curbing the Liberals and stopping a lot of this unjustified nonsense. Jacinda has definitely been whispering in Trudoes ear.
