    Man that's nasty, I've seen take down rifles before but that would be the first Kitset one.

    Got all his fingers and eye sight, walked away...... I would be thankful..............fuck know's what kind of flinch he will have after this.

    Lucky man. Says good things for howa or vanguard though. saw a sako 25 06 that did the same thing when somebody fired a 308 in it.

    Did you see the browning when you where at Hardys on the wall? 2506 fired a 270.....

    I thought saami changed shoulder lengths and stuff to make that kind of thing impossible?....surely it would be extremely difficult to force the 270 cal bullet back(crimped?) And resize the neck to fit in with the oversize projectile still in it?
    I'm talking out my arse and have no experience with either caliber myself just thinking out loud.

    That would be one scary moment alright, at least the Howa directed the blast away from the shooter otherwise he would have suffered a lot worse than a few scratches. Go buy a lotto ticket luck might be coming his way.

    It was a 270 case in a 25-06.
    Saw the remind of the brass in the barrel today.
