Looks good to go to me.

Most of my cold bore is slightly low seldomly sideways spread
Leave it fora urgent hunt if u can't get out for another range session
Making decisions on scanty information is never good, u gonna 2nd guess when shooting at a deer which makes u a shit shot when u don't trust your gear. It's within half a minute of deer - good enuff
If you had range access 24/7,go to the range 4 mornings.Fired one cold bore shot each morning n walk away.Thats your cold bore group kill shots for hunting.Try to shoot in the same position each morning.
But as been said above, what group you got is close.Remember a deer sholder is a 10 inch circle, not a match box.
I have the luxury of my own shooting ranges at home
So have done a cold bore 5 shot group with my primary big game rifle.
Clean cold bore and one shot at 100m
Normal clean and do it again the next day etc etc for 5 days
Actually the group was just fine but I have shot better in a single session
I think in the field is a whole other matter with a lot of other variables

of the Later-Day Shooter
I'd only be worried if this was a target rifle. Minute of pie plate is good enough for a clean kill, and your group is considerably better than that.
Fine if you only shoot animals in the morning at that range, elevation and weather
Good advice though to do it over a few days, if you want to know what your cold bore does, shoot groups-of-one over varying conditions that mimic the scenario you need to be accruate in -hunting, in this case.

I just chose mornings as there generally very little or no wind to move bullets around and give you a more accurate group over several visists to the range. You can go to the range when ever it suits you.

Fair enough, it eliminates that variable.
Unfortunately I've never found mother nature to be so compliant, and you just have to take the situations you're given.
I don't recall if it was marines or sniper scouts, but good advice...get closer. if you cnat( get closer, get steadier.

see thread with poll on how far away your last deer was.......

Personally I think it's being over thought. Surely the first shot is the only one that matters in "most" hunting situations and the one posted above is acceptable for most hunters. I do agree about being pedantic though so do what you wish, tightening up things ain't going to hurt and have added bonus of more shooting
Been said already, first shot at animal, or target for that matter is what counts.
I run the cleaning rod through, place careful shot at known range at the range & whammo that's the one that matters.
If I want to carry on & print a bunch of holes together I can, but I seldom do in this climate of component costs.

my 2nd edition nosler manual suggests take time for first shot then poke another two into target as quickly as you can will emulate /be close to a real hunting senario
it has some merit.
