    Compound Bow Recommendation?

Hi all, time to start getting into Bow hunting for me i think, just wondering what the best recommendations out there for deer stalking are, and where the best place to purchase one from would be. im very green, currently just target shoot with a 50lbs Longbow and have no clue about compound bows. Cheers

    Compound Bow Recommendation?

Something adjustable from 50 to 70, 3 pin sight, decent trigger release. And a good target to practice with

Been there and done that. If I can offer a single piece of advice, it is to go to a reputable pro shop. Try different gear before you buy anything. Your physiology will literally change from when you start archery to when you become proficient. A second almost as important lesson is to not be macho and pull a draw weight that you aren't comfortable with.
As far as brands go, all the well known brands have good offerings. Look at Huntersfriend.com for a very good impartial buyers guide...

^^ Both good points. As far as bow options you have a bunch, but as mentioned don't think you need 70 or more lbs to begin with. Probably quite limited to try rigs with reputable pro shops in the naki though.

My first compound was a Diamond Infinite Edge (didn't want to go hard out until I decided if I was keen on bow hunting) which can be found reasonably cheap (in comparison to my latest rig) and are user adjustable from somewhere like 15 to 70 lbs and iirc 26-30 in draw length.

Killed a few deer with it no worries. Or you could just get proficient with your long bow?

Love my Dna but it tends to get left at home in favor of the 50lb recurve.

    Apologies for the novel

Just make sure it's not a semi auto bow that fires each time you pull the string back

Also make sure the quiver/clip doesn’t hold any more than five arrows/shells...

You know its bad when archery threads are posted in the shooting section.

    I'm looking for a recurve.

The Ragim black bear is not a bad recurve for the money.
