Only owned 1 10/22 it was fantastic, ran cci subs well shot into less than 1" groups at 50y consistently. I cleaned the action after running a brick through it (1000 rounds) never touched the barrel, it always maintained tiny little groups at 50 yards.
Your experience is strange to say in the least.
Have you tried leaving it for say 200-300 rounds to see if accuracy returns ? My understanding of 22s is that once the barrel is fouled they reach an "equalibrium" where they shoot best after so many rounds.
I have never found the need to touch a 22 barrel unless it's got wet inside.
What about your new Lupo? Whats the regime for that? Is the blueing keeping nice?
