    iPhones will not protect you

Spend a great couple of ours with some complete strangers at the Taupo range today, sighting in my 17hmr, while the other two where wacking a 270 and 6.5.
I had a spare iPhone 7 that had caused me grief, so we used as a target. Three 17s, two 270s and two 6.5s at 100 meters.
I can now tell you they are not as good as flasks in your top pocket as heart protection!!!Name: 46610193-98A7-4882-9133-1DF8E5E5D4D0.jpeg

A plastic bag full of petrol (300mil or so) with a lit candle placed directly under it, (close but not TOO close!) and shot the plastic bag with 223 hollow point, spectacular in the dusk!

One would have to be a bit loose in the head to even contemplate doing this.

Alos plastic drink bottle filled with petrol, on ground on side, and hit either top or bottom, with candle behind about 300-500mm. Very impressive with 12g slug....
