    Looking good, smooth is fast

Did you time them ? You'll shave a lot off if you can get a way to work the slide release while you start to index on the target.

Have you sorted out the programming on your leg for kneeling ?

Hehe, think of it as controlled falling

You need a special button that overrides the lockup.

PS skateboard tape on the sides of your slide is your friend.

I have a G17 gen3 and brought the extended mag release and precut grip tape from Glock | Buy pistol parts, glock pistols, pistol magazines, and more
Cheap, good stuff and arrived really quick. Was about 18 months ago. I don’t use it much now (prefer the shadow), but the tape is still on strong, and makes a whole world of difference.
    So I got the –
    LWD-1981BJ11 LWD Extended Magazine Release 17 $3.69
And I got both sets of tape here but cant remember which one is on it.-
RYG-RPTBLK-17_22 Black Glock Raptor Grips Sand $9.45
    DG-G17FGSBF2 Decal Grip G17 $11.49

What rule would he have broken?

He has 90 degrees of freedom in all directions from directly downrange. If he shot a round pointed up too high - that is another issue altogether.

    Keep it up Blair.

Not bad? I thought it was bloody slick. I doubt very much that was his first time.

Interesting question about the pointing above berm. Without the backstop being visible on the vid it is speculation...

Sideways 180 does not depend on letting off a shot. If the muzzle points in the wrong direction you're gone burger.

Up in terms of the backstop or berm I suspect it depends on the range standing orders. And again, it generally does not depend on you letting off a shot. What if you have an accidental discharge and the firearm is pointing over the top of the berm ?

Exactly, pointing alone is a DQ offence,no need to fire the shot! Judging and looking at the vid he is pointing very high at the mag change,no criticism just an observation. I'm a national IPSC range officer and former master grade shooter,I would have pointed that out right away to any novice shooter, after all we are here to help and keep each other safe! Nice mag change, keep it up and be safe!

cheers guys , that was my first day practising mag changes while shooting , good points on the berm , I will practise harder and more within the arcs of fire , ... still undecided on the mag release .. I am happy with my progress , and will start strong hand , weak hand drills soon as well .
    cheers

I agree that breaking 180 would be DQ even without firing a shot. This is as per what I said previously - the shooter has 90 degrees in all directions from directly downrange, including straight up and straight down. (See rule 2.1.2).

As for Range Standing Orders - yes they specify the cone of fire, but the operative word there is FIRE.

Reason I am being picky on this is because I told Stumpy to get that gun pointed up high! Always best to see the side of your magwell as a target for getting the mag in there quick!
