I run 162eldx in a 22in barrel over 71gr 2217 in Norma brass. It's good for 2920fps but could do better for consistency and a little more accuracy. More velocity would be sweet but not necessary.
Who the guru for Sako load development?
Cheers

@GregD has an epic load for that rifle. If you search his posts you will probably find it. Was a warning that it is very hot
Tried adjusting seating depth?
Annealing the necks of the cases?
Changing primers?
Tweaking the powder charge?
Welcome to Sako club.
You should be able to get 3k with that. Ive found retumbo/2225 pretty good for velocity in the 7mm mag. H1000 a bit slower but better consistency and easier to find loads with. As above id try annealing the necks as i had accuracy issues with my 7mm mag and annealing fixed that. Best of luck
My rifle isn't a light but it's a Sako Roughtech 26'' barrel i run a load of 69gr ar2217 154gr hornady sp for 2950fps a mate runs the same in a 24'' barrel and gets 2920fps both split holes @ 100yds and i can put 3 shots on a 7'' gong @ 545yds 40 mm apart may not work for you but worth a try you only have to reload 3 to find out also i found my rifle likes spec length not sitting close to the lands it was too finnaky once i moved to spec the grouping closed to clover leaf cheers mate Note , i don't anneal any brass and only neck size with only 69gr the brass doesn't deform and i've got 5 to 7 reloads from a brass without resizing and still easy to load and eject
Yeh I think the Duley's used RL 33 with the 180 gr Berger ? in there Sako Carbon light.
