have a look at Boyds stocks, not sure if its your model . . . they have them for $69US
without a picture . .. it never happened !
Get the thumbhole version and that type of rupture won't happen .
Also bedding the action into the new stock might help to distribute the recoil force more evenly and limit the beginning of a crack.
agree with your thoughts on the thumbhole version @Friwi . . . the ordinal stock almost seems to be designed to amplify recoil & muzzle flip.
thumbhole should be a help getting the recoil coming back more in a straight line, better head position etc . . . good news its fixable and probably something you would want to do later anyway
could we see some pics @Rich007 of your molds & bullets you got with the gun . . . R

Can you fix the original by epoxying a threaded rod down through the pistol grip, or is that where the stock attaches to the action?
Check Boyds T/C butt stocks may be under the $100 limit
did you see the sexy thumbhole green and gold one Bud???? asked chap who builds heaps of these and yes its a known issue and he has fixed hundreds of them with similar problems.![]()

Yeah i did. I dont know if i can get turned on about anything green and gold
Would I straight (non thumbhole) stock be strong enough (see boyds)? I'm just a little concerned that a thumbhole would make it harder to cock the hammer for fast shooting

you could chuck a hammer spur on it like they do on likes of BLR etc....that takes the scope out of equation....
If you want to have a go at fixing it, can I suggest 'Gorilla Grip' instead of epoxy. GG will expand, foam and fill all the cracks and crevices and is very impact resistant.
I am a convert. Fixed SKB broken at the pistol grip, two 'Record' wood planes and a rifle stock, all very strong successful mends. Clamp the main body of the stock to a board with packers to line everything up, then poke glue in everywhere and clamp the pistol grip. When I fixed the SKB the crack wouldn't allow much glue in so I broke the stock completely packed it with glue and clamped it.
considering how that broke I would only be considering a fix a very temporary solution. The thumbhole jobbie looks the shizzle.
A quick update.....
I got the rifle back from Status Guns today. Nelson did a great job installing a rail, hammer extension and suppressor. He also glued up the broken stock. I think I'll still run with the new boyds one, although I'm going to need a proper (non plastic) recoil pad and a new action screw.
I got some 500gr cast projectiles from @shooternz, just need some trailboss and I'll be all set to have a play.
I'll post a picture from my phone later

Don't use trail boss if you are loading subsonic loads. It gives too wide a velocity spread. What this means is if you do use it your 'average load' velocity will need to be quite low as if not you will be living in the constant fear of one going trans or supersonic and creating a frightening Bang!! I raised this in another thread and one of the other forum members explained that this is because TB was NOT designed to be used as a powder for subs, but for use in cowboy action shooting etc. So use it if you will, but know that if you are not bald now you will be at the end of load development.
