Are the deer going to notice the difference?
more marketing bullshit from the gun industry. The long range key board snipers will love it.
I have a Ruger M77 mk1 nothing wrong with it shoots very well 25-06 also a MkV in 224 Weatherby lovely little rifle superb shooter.
@nor-west how is your. 224 going?
@coltace lovely 55 grn honardy 1 hole same with 50 grn Nosler no time to try anything heavier.
I had a go with a Mark V ultralight 270 and it shot very well.
Shut up, get out & start pushing!
Cant remember if it was Luke, chap 3, verse 7, or Revelations..Anyway, apparently God uses a 6.5x55, for...... the long-shots. No mention of Weatherby
Whilst I have no interest in this new cartridge, how much time have some of you spent with a MkV? I recently sold (as me and my mates interests have changed) a. 224wby, .300wby, .378 wby and .460wby (keeping the. 240wby) all MkVs, say what you will about the cartridges but the Bolt, fit and finish of the MkV is pretty damn good, I'm certainly not saying they're the best of the best, but they're anything but poorly balanced or unruly to hold. I get that it's subjective, but still.

Does not appear to offer anything that multiple other cartridges don't already offer, but this will also probably have the downsides of rare & expensive brass & dies.
Not a winner imo.
I like the concept and rifle weight, need to see the price first though.
