The little K hornet flattened this fella around an hour ago.
Pup didn't know what to make of the deer. First dead thing he has seen.
Shot him on an old skidder track feeding on a bulldozed bank. Backed the truck up to bank and rolled him in.

About 80 yards. He was facing away from me and I asume looked up at another animal he was with, presenting a clean shot.
After I fired I seen another 2 deer milling around wondering what happened, until they seen my ugly face walking towards them.

Hit him about 3" below his ears.

Will see if I can recover the projectile when cutting him up in a week's time.

Either a Thar or chamois next.

Dunno. But If you think I am a threat from 80yrds away in a perverted sense, I thank you

But its more likely he was deaf, blind and dumb and I did him a favour.

I had a look for the projectile when I removed his head. The bullet impacted 3" below the base of his scull slightly right.
Hit bone but didn't break any and deflected out the side of his neck with a slightly larger hole than the entry.

Very little trauma at all but it killed him quickly as he was stone dead by the time I walked the 80 or so yrds to reach him.

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

    Echo Alpha Delta to you.

He might be a good looking dog but he has been a pain in the ass lately. It's like I have another shadow. Nothing is sacred.
Eats and shits like a horse.

    Steals shit constantly.
