I recon you have to go 30,338 or 35 cal.
You have a 6.5 which great for target work and medium range hunting.
Moving to a 7mm is only a small step up from the 6.5mm so I don't see a big gain for you unless you just want another target rifle.
For just hunting purposes and for the hell of it move up to something large enough to differentiate it from from 6.5.
The big >30 cal's are fine for long range hunting and target work but if you are putting lots of rounds down range recoil can become an issue in a light build.

    7MM-338 LAPUA Throws a 160 in the 3500fps+ region
If you can't kill it with bullets, dont f*ck with it.

opps I missed that you also had a 7 SAUM. So in 7mm a rem mag is not real gain. Putting you up to the likes of the 28 Nosler or similar.
Again if you hunting I would be going larger, 30, 338,358 etc.
If 1000 yr target match shoots is the goal then a fast tuned 6mm is worth a look at.

My vote as above. 28 nosler or 7 RUM. A 180 eld m cruising along would have to be an easy 800 yard option wouldn’t it? This is from someone who’s only used up to 7RM and 7 saum out to 600 yards so not that qualified!!!

My 26" barreled 28 Nosler can push 195s at 3200 or 180s at 3300. The ballistics is pretty good.

Pretty happy with my 338 edge, puts big holes in deer out past a K, 2000 f/lb of energy at 1000m and simple to reload for with reasonable barrel life for size of the case.

Was running Berger 300gr elite hunter with mixed results on the first couple dozen deer, with bullets penciling through if bone wasn’t hit. They were still mortally wounded and run 30m-60m but at 900m - 1100m shot I want them to drop on the spot. The dog will still find them ok.
Now using 285gr ELD-M @ 2900fps in a 26” barrel with instant kills before they hit the ground or run 10m. Massive meat damage on both shoulders even out past a k.

180's in the mid 3,300's with a "mild" load of 106gr of US869. Over 3,400 was achievable with a Barnard PL action but not quite as accurate.

I still have brass and custom dies if you are considering this route. 50 cases fired 3-4 times and 60 new formed cases. Bro has a rifle chambered in 7mmFX for sale, it's left handed though
If it's not a first round hit you need to practice more

    Greetings Larskramer,
You seem to have most of the modern stuff covered so I suggest a .280 Ross. This will keep you busy finding cases, projectiles etc. plus developing loads for quite some time. It won't do anything half a dozen modern cartridges (at least) can do but when you uncase it on the range you can be pretty sure it will be the only one there. Look it up and give it some thought.
    Regards Grandpamac.
