Don't suppose you could put a photo of how you mounted it? I have one on an sks and I've never used it. Might try it on my AR. Would love to get rid of my scope

would you mind telling me what mount and mods you did to it? i really like the look of it also
I'm after this platform as well, looks good. Always been interested in these rifles.
Yeah it's just swapping the hardware out with quality bolts and lock nuts.
And the bolts that mount the base to the optic
Cheers mate. I picked one up on friday for $225.00 from Gun City and took it along to the Auckland Deer Stalkers range over the weekend. Was impressed to be honest. Took me a little while to get it Zero'd in (Bore sighter error) but once on paper I could put some good shots down range. Will be using it in my next service rifle shoot.
Was looking at the NFA today @ chch guncity. Might be my next purchase.
It's a US $100 plastic lower with a rep for breaking occasionally and a chinese bare bones upper that should sell for about $400 but gun city somehow try to screw you for $1499 for upper alone. Take a wild guess if it's better
e: there are aluminium NFA lowers too which are probably fine, a lower is a lower is a lower if it's in spec
NFA is a Las Vegas company. GC has mixed versions of uppers and lowers, but there is NFA uppers and lowers avaliable.
Cheers, just grabbed on from GC too. Nice.
The only NFA lower (not to be confused with NEA) I have viewed was out of spec and had a plastic fire control group. The uppers appear to be ok.
If you want an alternative plastic lower they will be available in a few weeks for $NZ99.90.
Personally I would see a $999 AR15 kit with CMMG receivers, a USA barrel and the option of installing free float handguard as a more logical investment though.
