Both open for me.
I think it also comes from small bore when a bit younger, used a grey blinder on the side of back sight, and the right eye just focuses...... ( right handed and right eye dominant)
Oh, and can use both index and middle finger to pull trigger, although pistol really only index
hahah interesting replies. not saying it mattered at all, just curious to how everyone does it. the middle finger shootings a new one to me too never heard of that one. will defiantly add them to the list of excuses to use when missing deer side on at 40 yards
haha this mofo! least she can feel your finger, reckons you got an anorexic breakfast sausage
I shoot with both open especially for long range shooting but that maybe because my right eye is so dominant and my left eye so crap its like having the left shut anyway.

Hunting, both open with a scope, but since the dominant eye is looking through the glass tube, you might as well have the other one shut. At the range on targets with a scope I will close my left eye, when I think about it, just in case someone in a bikini walks past, so I can concentrate.
The only place I think it is significant, is with open sights when hunting. Both eyes open now is important. On targets, one eye closed.
