Options for shooting regularly in Northern Auckland

I would like to do more range shooting. Ideally I would like to get into pistol, but more rifle shooting would still be good.

Locations I am aware of in North Auckland:

NZDA North Auckland - Currently a member. Range by the Riverhead clubroom is only open every second Sunday, sometimes less over winter. Good club but gets very busy because of the limited open days. Also tricky when wet as no shelter.

NZDA Auckland - Confusingly their range is also in Riverhead. I've never personally shot here but access seems more difficult than North Auckland due to forestry rules. Also limited openings.

Auckland Shooting Club - Located in Makarau but seems to have succumbed to nimbyism and local hippies weaponising the council against them. All ranges are closed at the moment due to council drama.

Warkworth Pistol Club - Website says they haven't accepted any new members since 2019.

Navy shooting range - Located in Army Bay near Shakespear park for defense personnel. Rumour has it that it's possible to get in as a civvy with the right connections, not sure if true or not.

Does anyone know of any other ranges or clubs north of the Harbour Bridge? It would be great to have somewhere to get some more regular practice in.

Join up to nzda MB. Pretty simple. Regular events. I keep meaning to go along but always hunting and doing something else instead. I'd thought it'd be a great spot for my girl to practise but have been lucky to use a mates range for that.
Local nzda has even been helping with a certain hunting spot to get guys going in some easy animals on a farm where pines have been planted. Although I think they've plenty much done all they could there.

With Auckland traffic it would take me about as long to get there as it would to Howick Pistol Club.

Whangarei NZDA we have a range at Marua aprox 28km from central town.
    Covered base with targets at 50, 100 & 200. Gongs at 200 and 300.
Shoot aprox every 3 weeks but also surport BOI and Dargaville clubs as well. Range can only be used on club days.
Historically they have been mostly focused on range stuff but recently a younger group have been coming through and started getting involved with the hunts courses and the sika foundatation shoots and doing some more varied hunter focused club shoots with hunting rifles at 50-300 mtr ranges Standing, seated etc.

nb, ifs it's wet your toyota aqua won't get to the range parking spot.

A friendly farmer is probably your only chance apart from the DA ranges
