    the good old 30-30 reticle by tasco......remember the spiel in magazines in the 80s.... always mean to do a cardboard deer sort of thing,funny Ive done it time and again with ducks till 50 yards is locked into brain.
    one day when funds are there I may just buy a small up to 500 yard rangefiner.....maybe. I do often to google earth measure up when at home. can also do it on gps or nztopo50

    Hi all, what you want to know is your reticles subtensions. Most good scope manufacturers publish these.

    For example this is for a Nikon BDC:
