This is what I do. When I'm dry firing I start with the gun out, no mag inserted, then perform a mag change as per normal. You just have to be honest with yourself that you're giving the mag release a proper hit, and it saves a ton of time picking up mags.

It also means you don't have to worry about having a heavy mag bounce onto your foot when you're not wearing shoes.

Got a new suppressor for my Mosquito so went up to the range for a test run.

Had a go at the mag changes for shits n giggles just now.

Started in holster 10m with my Bul .40S&W
First go was 6.36 seconds for 6 rounds 2 mag changes. 5 A zones with 1 close C.
    2nd go nearly a second faster with 4 A and 2 C zones.
Plenty of room for improvement in the fluidity department.

Will have a go with my shadow in a few days.
Haven't used it much for a while so will have a bit of dry practice.

I don't get too concerned about speed of magazine change, watching my headcam footage from matches I've never lost much time from slow reloads.

I just practise for the muscle memory, funny how you can funble on the dry runs but i've never fumbled in a match

I have been trying to break down this guys footwork and movement for the last month. Heres one of his shoot fast reload rinse and repeat vids, should fit in nicely with the thread.

I bought one direct from Double Alpha, they are well worth the money. But you need to keep it charged, there has been a few times I've headed to the range with the timer having been in my bag all week and found it flat.

I ordered mine in NZ. Pretty good deal at around $250 compared to what prices I have seen elsewhere.

Looks like some good advise here.

Might try shifting my mag pouches too so I'm not reaching so far.

    Cheers

Don't have them forward of the hip bone if you want to stay in Production

    Yep.

Might angle them a bit more to align with the hand.

    Cheers
    Pete
