Ranges that allow .50 BMG rifle in the Waikato?

    Hi all,

Assuming they’re not banned in the coming weeks, are there any ranges in the Waikato (as close to Hamilton as possible) that allow .50 BMG? Obviously with a bit of distance. The Hamilton Pistol Club isn’t interested...

    TIA

200m is awfully close for one of those isnt it. If i had one i would want a bit more distance, if the 300 win mag is good to 800, id want over a k for that probably 2

They are noisy beasts as well so you wouldn't want to be to close to town.

There are many ranges is the Waikato, especially not long range.
There is the Otorohanga NRA club, but it'd pay to ask if they allow 50cal.

You could always make up some subsonic rounds that may make it more acceptable.
