I'd love to go but I'll be at work. Next time!
Sounds like you guys have the same problem in have. Work is great for paying bills associated with my hobby but really annoying for getting in the way of same hobby...
Weathers looking good! With the current number of attendees i might get to compete myself! If someone wants to come along get in touch.
I thought it was invite only?

"Hunting and fishing" fucking over licenced firearms owners since ages ago.
308Win One chambering to rule them all.
It is, but i have a couple of spots open if someone was keen. It is invitation only compared to open invitation for everyone.
Gillie, I gather that you don't work in marketing or promoting events as a full time job?
Welcome to Sako club.
Set the course today and shot it this afternoon to sort out the stage times. Just sorting the scoring at the moment and about to go and grab some food for the BBQ tomorrow. About a dozen or so shooters. Weather is looking great! Going to be a good day!
Have a great shoot gillie Look forward to the post and pics.
Shoot ran awesome today, once we got under way the shooters basically ran the event themselves. Managed to get a couple of photos. I had a mate there who was running round with the camera all day. He got some great video. We'll put it them together into one video before it gets posted though.
Position 1. Getting under way.
A few positions going simultaneously.
Big thanks to Gillie and the others involved in running this superb shoot and the land owner for allowing us to be there.
Fantasic course with its challenges, easy walk and well organised.
Small details like printed score cards etc makes all the difference to this being a fluid event.
Hopefully we can get more shoots like this going, Gillie is certainly the guy to talk to if anyone considering it.
RUNAS
Thanks RUNAS, Grasshopper and the other competitors who made it along. Malcolm and I were very pleased with the event.
The course was challenging enough for the experienced long range shooters but had sufficient easier targets to give the less experienced guys some enjoyment and confidence to come back. A couple of tricky ones where we tried to fool the range finders, targets behind trees (trees were on a closer ridge) targets located right on top of a spur (so only backing was the hillside behind). The 400m+ supported sitting position was entertaining.
I like the scoring as well. We weighted the scoring to reward first round hits. The person with the most hits actually came second on points. About half the competitors managed to hit more than 50% of their shots. Top shooter managed to hit about 70% of the shots.
Got a good feeling at the end of the day with the event finished. All the effort and organisation was justified with a good event with no significant hiccups.
Only had one target with significant damage, someone put a shot through the target identifier and frame that needed repair (afterwards).
I have a few months off now without a field event organised. As you say RUNAS hopefully there are more of these events run. Pity i can't make it to El B's shoot later this month in Auckland.
Disapointed I had to miss it, next time hopefully.
