    I would say there are enough leads and practical advice for the op to get started. Although I do wonder why the Ian guy didn't sign up personally rather than have a friend do it for him

    I can advise on contamination if thats brought up as an issue.

    Thanks for the advice everyone, our friend has decided not to proceed at this stage. Will definitely come back to the forum should he change his mind.

    Remember that any range where lead ammunition is used can end up on council registers for potentially contaminated land. Best to consider this before discovering that the land value has taken a hit because of it. Managing it before a shot is fired I way better that dealing with the monster after the fact. Clear plans and records now will save a lot of cost and headache later.
