    Only one choice 458 Win Mag. Be interesting to see how it compares to my 404 Jeffery.

    One vote for the 458 Win. Might just be enough for a charging wallaby at 20yds.
    Velocity is thrilling,but diameter does the real killing.

    I have the in close charging wallaby covered with the Husky 1600 9.3x62, but correctly the 458 would make a good backup in case I mess up and just wound it.
    soooooo....
    Sorry to have to disagree however tentatively with Stug on this occasion but I'd like to vote for the biggest wood/blued rifle seems thats the 602, with that calibre charging wallaby at 300 meters are in trouble.

    Try to bring both eh? [ I'll let you shoot my slug gun].

    The 602 has been to Africa twice with the previous owner and taken some nice trophies.
