Thread: Whangarei/Northland Range?

I know we have a few ranges up here, anyone a member of one? I would just like somewhere to zero and practice with my hunting rifle. Cheers.

Whangarei deer stalkers is open I think it's the first Sunday of the month, I'm a member but don't attend very often, I have had a bit of a clean out and can't find an old newsletter to get any contacts, if I find one I'll pm you but try emailing deer stalkers nz they should have a contact number. Friendly bunch of people and no dramas any time I have been there.

i will be the Whangarei NZDA range once in the next 3-4 weeks.
Nice guy's and always accomodating.
22rf at 50 and sometimes 100 mtr for laughs
100 & 200 mtrs on occasions
Best time to go is club days as they are a little less structured than when they are running postal shoots.

There's a dargaville long range club I think. There's a black powder range that's really cheap to join.

also out towards the whangarei heads the full bore club has a range out to 900 mtr.

That's long gone, I believe they are setting up a new range out Mangakaramea which goes out to 600 or so

when did that range go. was sure it was out there 6-7 years back. still lots of subdivision on that hill behind the range.

Also the Oromahoe range further north but I have not been there.

It went about 3-4yrs ago

I’ve been to the oromahoe range twice and it’s quite good, only 200m though
