I think to a large degree you answered it in your explanation. Consistant pressure/body position/recoil resistance/vibration/bounce. How dpes it shoot across your pack?

Nah just wondering why it's not a factory chambering since it *ought* to fit an R8 with all the giant safari cartridges it comes in.

So I went and had a few more shots today......
I used a rear bag and I focused on staying relaxed, natural point of aim and allowing the rifle to recoil in a line from the target evenly through me (if that makes sense). I shot this 3 shot group (thumb tack is the aiming point).

As you can see the group is a lot tighter and a lot closer to my original zero than my last groups - with no change in the scope settings.
Encouraged - I adjusted my scope 1 click up and 1 click to the left.
    And......bang on

Thanks heaps for the advice guys (esp @gimp)! I think I was tense trying to do all the things I had learnt about watching Norways DVD. Now I just need to do some trajectory validation and some LR practice and I'll be all set for my Tahr hunt next month

Oh and my 10X42 HD-B's arrived today - What a great day!

We need to organise a bit of LR fun before I bugger off again early next month.

    Nice shooting too

@Rich007 - Yeah I do mate, free most of the time at the moment. Will flick you a text.

Fly out early next month... more than enough time for @BRADS to organise something. I've never fired anything bigger than a .300wsm haha....

Good shooting! It's always nice to smash through a performance roof and take your shooting to another level.
