Thread: what service rifle projectiles

might give service rifle shooting a go ive got a 6.5x55 m38 what projectiles do you use I take it you are supposed to use fmj but cant find them for 6.5 cheers nd

Try Belmont's Lapua did make a 144 gr FMJ not sure if they still do.

Check with the club you are going to shoot with a lot of service rifle shooters use the 6.5 Swede it's very popular in OZ and NZ so they must
have projectiles that the allow.

most clubs will let you use any pill you want in such a rifle in service class as they understand the issue if finding fmj ammo, there is of couse allways some dick range lawyering about the isued ammo but as long as your not loading smk or the like youe shoul be fine

I'm just using 140gn 6.5 Remmy corelocks in my M1938 though, as I have tons of them.
