The fastest to take apart for cleaning and maintenance , seconded by tikka and kimbers.
I would have thought the Tikka with the 'auto-bolt-eject-button' would have been the fastest.

As has been said before, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I only got it to see if it would get much use, and to introduce the boy to centre fire. When in the HUNTs course, another fella with much more expensive taste had a go with it. On the Monday he went out and got one. He liked the weight, and the slim foreend, and the fact it didn't break the bank. He intended it to be used as a loaner, knockabout gun.

I meant taking action out of the stock and stripping receiver from the trigger system.
On the savage, one pin to pop out with a finger nail, on the tikka/ kimber , a very tight screw to unscrew.

Yes but it is swings and roundabouts. The time not taken to need to the Tikka bolt probably makes up for it.

I've had three Savages and none were great shooters for some reason, pretty much given up on Savage. I've had more luck with Marlin's so far.
Funny how some brands seem to work for some people and not others.
