I'm not too sure about good numbers Spook we know they are there but only in fairly low to medium numbers at best, there are large area's which are unproductive throughout the Kaimai's which hold very few animals - lack of feed and terrain dictates this.

Ok, maybe not the whole of the Kaimais but the area in the vacinity of Thompsons has produced some good results. A young guy that I pointed in the right direction took 5 deer in two trips from a valley I used to hunt [BoP side]. Talking to a local recently that took 4 deer [Waikato side] between xmas and new year...that has to be at least 'medium' numbers.

Well so far no good havent even seen any sign going to try another area, just had to come out to make a phonecall. Havent even found any sign. Been onto a couple nice looking clearings
