It is my own creation. Includes all the good stuff that I think a proper Mtn rifle should have, IMHO. One of the key things I wanted to do with it was solve some of the issues with titanium receivers (fatigue life, grittiness, and galling). Pretty much every Ti receiver out there is made from Grade 5 (6-4, which is an alpha-beta phase, behaves more like aluminum in fatigue) vs the 6246 grade I use (beta phase only) and behaves like steel in fatigue, so should have a very long life, similar to a 4000 series alloy receiver would. It machines differently and is much smoother compared to grade 5 which can feel sticky. In regards to galling - the bolt is Nitrided 4330V, so is about 20 HRC harder than the receiver at 40 HRC. The high difference in hardness doesnt allow the materials to "stick" together and gall.
The action has a proper model 70 style boltface, CRF, 3pos safety, roller cocking, integral lug and ring mounts, etc. Its a solid unit. No corners were cut, thus the $$$.
Appreciate the interest!
Cheers,
Mike
