    Hi all. Here to learn.

    Hi Everyone,
Im Cameron. I'm joining up here as i've always wanted to get into hunting and i'm making the move to start doing and not just talking about it.
Interested in all of it really but looking to start by getting into hunting deer with my brother in law who pointed me in the direction of this forum as he's on here.

Im 41 and have lived in Tai Tapu, Selwyn District for the last couple of years but spent years in Auckland and grew up in Hastings.
keen to learn from all the info here.

    Cheers

    Welcome Cameron

I'm 44 and only took up hunting a couple of years ago so its never too late to start. Lots of good people and info on here, just don't ask where the deer are! Do some research on where to hunt and what animals you might find there.

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Tai Tapu is a nice spot and you could possibly spot the odd deer, with Bino's, in your backyard on the hills- No public hunting allowed anywhere up there of course!
Only an hour or so to Mt Thomas, Mt Oxford etc where access is pretty good but you will need to like hills and crappy bush nearly everywhere except the odd creek and the tops. Good luck and stick at it- it'll pay off. I started hunting in my 40's also.

53 should lay a complaint of assault for such blatant thuggery.
