    I'm new but old

    Howdy.

Getting back into hunting as the price of everything has gotten out of control, including meat.

I have gun oil running through my veins, father was a semi famous gun smith and as he has all but retired I have be given some gear.
I have steered away from reloading but now am keen to learn, got some of the ol boys reloading stuff, a press etc.

I have more of a carpentry background so might look at some stock work but don't get excited I have only altered and copied so far for utility pieces.

Keen to learn even at my age.

    Cheers

Welcome, you sound like you have a lot to contribute with your dads background.

Cheap meat always tastes better too.

Rumpy, I just wish I had paid a bit more attention when I was younger. Hard to download the old boys knowledge when he's near the capital and I'm 7 hours away.

    Welcome aboard
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded

Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
