    Kiwi coming back form Aus

    Hey guys just joined the forum to see what i have to look foward to when i finally move back to NZ at the end of the year, Currently do a lot of target shooting over here and a little hunting when i can get out on property. Looking foward to far less restrictions on my much loved sport...so guys what do i have to look foward to?

    Yea really looking foward to the semi auto longarms, Can anyone give me quick brief on the licensing process and are you allowed to hunt on crown land?

    lots of public land to hunt with a free permit, Sit test for firearms license and get vetted by interveiwing caracter referies... easy and hand over some coin then you can own semi's, Bolts, shotguns etc (Semis have some limitations)
    Fishing ... Hunting its all good

    Contact the Arms Officer of whatever region you are coming back to. Visitirs from other countries are able to get temporary licences(valid for 12 months), that allow them to purchase and use firearms. This can be given at the airport on arrival into the country. May speed up the process to get you out hunting, while you wait for the formal licence to be processed.

    Cool sounds good will look into the visitors licence cause i want to bring one rifle with me!
