    Lower North Island Fresh Hunter

    Hi all,

I have been reading the forum for a couple of years and created an account about a year ago. Have gotten a lot out of reading some of the threads and the knowledge shared here.

Although I have always been a keen tramper, I am a new hunter. I completed a HUNTS course last year which has set me up with some good knowledge and confidence to get out and have a crack. I bought myself a .22 for practice on the range and a cheap .243 for hunting.

I have been out doing a bit of "armed tramping" last year in a few different areas, saw plenty of sign but no animals. Over the Xmas break I managed to get my first animal solo on private land. In the new year I got my first public land animal, a billy goat, and public land deer.

Anyway, looking forward to continue learning and hopefully be able to give back as i get more experience.

    Cheers, Ants

    Well done and welcome aboard
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
