    New to the forum, new to hunting

    Hi all,

    Title says it all really. Been lurking and reading up stories and posts in this forum since getting my FAL a few months ago and thought it was time to say hi.
    Recently moved back to Nelson/Tasman and keen to get stuck in, luckily only took 4 months to get my application processed.

    Done a bunch of smallbore target shooting a while ago, and a lot of tramping, but completely new to hunting so I've got a lot to soak up and learn.

    Looking forward to the journey, hope to see some of you out there.

    Welcome Puck! I'm also new and have been lurking mostly. I'm no authority on 99% of the stuff here!

    I'm moving down Nelson way in a couple of months myself. Maybe I'll be able to pick your brains on good spots for newbies around Nelson.

    Welcome to you both, I'm also headed back towards Nelson but will be of no fixed abode for a while. I'm newish to hunting, been doing a bit down here last couple of yearsand done heaps of tramping around Nelson when I last lived up there 6 years ago and was there for around 16 years.

    Keen to get out hunting up there when we are back so if you want a companion hit me up.

    Welcome aboard to both of you new members
    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
    Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
    Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
    Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
    Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
    Rule 5: Check your firing zone
    Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
    Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
