    New to site Intro

    Hi all

Canterbury based and have been reading /researching from the forum for around 6 months. It took me 10 months and around 15 hunts before I finally had some success although it was very rewarding to actually gain that success on my own. Back steaks on Xmas day with the family gave me a sense of satisfaction that made the steep climbs worthwhile. A number of friends had taken me out hunting in the hills - learning/observing/carrying meat... so it was certainly a team effort getting to this point!

I've had a few hunts around Broken river, Mt Oxford, Molesworth & Cragieburns with the area running from The Waimak gorge to Mt Grey my 'go to' areas. I fly fish also so there is a somewhat natural synergy between the two and there are many trips planned in the future with the aim to taking my 12 Year old out with me and introducing him to the great Nz outdoors. Cheers.

    Welcome along.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
