    Even my 22-250 can get the job done not the best calibre for big deer but I have done it when goat hunting, its perfect for goats. My .308 is the better rifle for deer.

    Welcome to the forum!

    As a paid up member of the .270 brigade, its contender for the allrounder caliber. Shot my first deer with a mates Tikka T3. Really good rifle !
    Have since settled on a Sauer which is fine. Only wish I had gone with a stainless rifle in hindsight. The Sauer is starting to look "well loved"
