Pick any one of the dozens of threads in the questions section, this question is asked over and over again. Do a little homework.
Unfortunately new members don't get immediate access as we have a duty of care to protect our established members from the constant bombardment of scammers trying to create new accounts to rip people off.
I cannot tell you how or when you will gain access as revealing that process will open the flood gates for the scammers to circumvent the process, but hang in there contribute and it will happen in good time. If you can't wait to buy gear then trademe or retail is your only option.

Cheers Danny, I Dont come here to do more homework mate but good to know. Not intending to be ripped off or to rip off seeing as i would like to think the people in this forum have some what of an idea of what things are worth, hence the reason for joining.

i agree JMMAC, the "eagerness" to join comes from the fact we dont want to deal with the hassle of the trade me trolls and retail stores and to be involved in a community of hunters that know what they are doing and gain knowledge. it was just abit confusing not having access to one of the reasons for joining this forum, hence the question. but thank you thank explains the situation. we will eagerly await access. thank you dannyb

no that is completely understandable, it was just abit confusing at the start when i couldnt find it. there is a lot of knowledge to gain here in this forum.

I'll hold my hand up as someone who joined the forum a few years ago (late 2020) specifically to sort out possible scope options for one of my rifles as I didn't think I'd have much to contribute. I'm a not prolific hunter or knowledgeable about everything firearms related, so only contribute where and when I can, but I'd like to think my 650+ posts have helped out others (if only asking silly questions!) and enjoy the forum as a way to 'get out there' when I'm not able to due to other commitments.

I have been helped out by numerous forum members. I look at it this way - there is a ton of knowledge here that can be tapped into - the buy and sell is a bonus.
