Budget camera for Hunting and general photos

My phones camera is not bad for what it cost. But the photos are never as good as what I can see through the mark 1 eye ball. I understand that it'll never quite get there.

So, I am thinking of getting something like a Canon sx50. Would spend 300 on a second hand done as I have no idea what I am doing.

Any suggestions on what you use and how you use it?

I can highly recommend the Canon SX60HS, Jane seen them come up for $150-400. Was lucky enough to get mine for $150 but wasn’t in a rush to buy one so picked it up when it came up

Got a sx50, really happy with it. Saves taking the spotting scope in some cases. Stick it on auto, job done!

I’ve got an Olympus Tuff camera that’s awesome for getting up close, waterproof and drop proof, I use it pig hunting taking it into the bail and my missus takes it diving! Great underwater photos.

Just brought a Nikon P900 and love it, definatly more careful with it but the photos it takes are next level. And the zoom is awesome. Easily assess deer at 1.5ks +.

I’m no pro photographer but both are awesome in my experience.

    Just my 2c

Bloody good, easy to use and great photos, playback screen is average pixel wise but its a cheap camera at 150bucks. i only want to sell it so i can get a slightly different model that they make an underwater housing for.
