I've got a gopro2 for skydiving. These things are Unbreakable.

I've seen several come off in freefall and survive to be used another day.

They're super simple to use and have any number of different mounts ....Thats what you want when you're busy doing something other than filming ...

I have the hero3 black +. Awesome. Been using it last few days for snowboarding. Films all day in-20 -30 degrees.
Takes amazing footage and a huge beating.

$540 from r&r sport if you sign up to their club.

That is awesome - you can play the piano and film your mate fishing at the same time! Must be a small piano right?

Go pros are good and tough and take good footage. BUT the lack of zoom makes them a bit limited for hunting. I have used mine abit and unless you are close(under 50m) you cant really see much. would be good for bow hunting and diving. and the battery life is pretty annoying

@Nibblet Thanks for the R&R heads up! Ordered the Hero3+ Black just now and with a new sign up I got a $10 R&R so made the total price $539.00 to my door.
Was really interested in both the Rollei S50 as well as the Sony but neither appeared to have the back up and accessories (locally at least) like GoPro. Also if I get the shits with it the resale should be good.

Battery is crap. You can only run one at a time through the smart phone.

They can take the shit though. And how. The amusing part is you never get the best action cause 1: You're out of battery, or 2: you're trying to save the battery.
One gopro is never enough and now you need to learn some fucking program to process them properly.
