School holiday fun with the kids, testing out my new mini action cam

The kids have been on at me for a couple of weeks wanting to climb up a local hill that they call Monster hill (Sugarloaf hill in Napier). Ive just got a new tiny little HD action cam, a Mobius that i was keen to try out. Its the size and weight of a matchbox, fully self-contained pretty simple to use and takes pretty good footage and to my surprise the audio quality isnt too bad for what it is either.

I also wanted to try out some new filming techniques to include in my self-filmed hunting videos to mix the footage up a bit to make things more interesting.

    Anyway here's the vid.

For those interested, that entire video was shot with this tiny camera.

haha, yes. Well we'd had two days of heavy rain prior, so i figured it could be wet and muddy. It was also only a short 5 min climb, so gummies it was ;-)

Gumboots they are wonderful, Gumboots they are swell,
They keep out the water, and they keep in the smell,
and when we are all sitting around, you can always tell,
when one of the trevs has taken off his gum-boots.

If it wern't for your gumboots where would you be ?
You't be in the hospital or infirmary,
You would have a dose of the flu or even pluracy,
if you did't have you feet in your gumboots!

Now there's rugby boots and racing boots and boots for drinking rum,
But the only boots I'm never with out are the ones that start with gum,
I've got short ones and long ones and some that reach me belt,
I'm never dressed till Ive got on me gumboots.

Mate how have you found these handle the weather? Any fogging while hunting?
    Battery life?

Only just got it, havnt had it out hunting yet. Record time is reportedly 2 hours, can be charged on the hill, or even record while connected to a powerbank.

The cam as it is isn't waterproof, but there is a waterproof housing available for them.

I will be fitting a 16mm or 25mm focal length CCTV lens to one of these to give it some zoom and mount to my rifle for bush/roar hunting. The lens have the same M12 thread as CCTV lens.
