Out of curiosity, whats the round limit/count on one of these? Will be looking (when funds allow) at a rifle for LR hunting, although my current ability will mean I will need some steel practice (hence the worry about round count after load development, practice, dope, etc). Thanks.

I don't really know, more than a 7-375R, probably around a 7mm Rem Mag, more than a 300 RUM, less than a 300 Win Mag, it is a very subjective thing, depending entirely on how it is used/abused, how hot it gets, etc.

I haven't owned a rifle long enough to wear one out yet, my 338 Terminator must be getting close, it has had a hell of a life shooting steel.

Had a play with RL33 the other weekend, still shoots sub half moa with 300s well over 3100 & 250s well over 3400fps so still has some life in her yet,

    230 OTM & Hybrids at around 2925fps
    Hi Greg

with the 30-375 and the 230 target hybrids at 2925fps is the over all length of this load a mag fed option ?

Also in a 26" barrel how would this round compare to the 300 Norma velocity wise

The Norma has 8 grains of H2O more case capacity so will have more grunt, 75-100 FPS in a 26" barrel.

I would have to look at my data but yes it should mag feed with 230s in a Rem 700 might need an extended mag box.

Thanks Greg ,, what is your opinion on building the 300 Norma on a Rem action? With lets say a PTG replacement bolt. Does this leave the bolt nose too thin for the wider .750 case head?

The case head isn't that big

No problem, Remington make plenty of factory rifles with the Lapua Mag bolt face, some Guys even build Lapua Mag improved on factory Titanium actions.
