Vlaser introduced the 300 Norma Magnum in their R8 this year. At the journalist event, several shot their best groups ever at 500m.

After 500 plus rounds the original 50 bits of brass were getting too hard so I gave her a birthday & prepped up some new brass.
Did a quick ladder test with the new Hornady 225 ELDM, the brass made a big difference & she has a new lease of life, pretty happy to be fair,
Very happy with the Proof Research Carbon barrels, puts the local ones to shame in my experience.

Looks very good. The new ELD bullets seems like an improvement, the 225 puts the 300 straight up with the 338 and with a useful hunting bullet. What powder?

Very nice!
I have been dreaming of a sporter in .308 NM for years, even bought a donor action. It was a popular round in Alaska for Dall Sheep and Bear before the 338 WM took over.(Ruger M77 Stainless with Leupold Scope ) is Alaskas version of a Tikka T3 in 7-08.
