Cool; there is some exciting stuff happening at the moment with all these new ideas/chamberings coming out, I reckon it great for the sport. We tend to take for granted the ''common'' chamberings, but most of these started as wildcats too.

If you are going to re-barrel what is stopping you putting in a Rem700 type recoil lug?

Nothing really I guess, apart from more cost & bedding/stock alteration work increasing the cost more.....

Rem 700 actions are cheaper than Tikkas & have more bits and pieces easily available for them

A Howa could be interesting maybe...... ???

Took my first proper length barreled (30") 340 Terminator up the range today for it's first outing.

I wasn't dissapointed it did what I thought it would from initial testing

I got 3200+ fps from two powders with the 300 OTM, so at this stage it looks like it will happily run at around 3200fps

I will do some accuracy testing tomorrow to see how she goes.

She weighs 10.5 lbs, 4.8kgs as in the photos without the bi-pod

So around the same performance as a 338 Cheytac with a lot less weight
