IIRC its really just scaled up 30-06, sure it uses 230 odd grains of powder but they are going down a BIG hole, the jackets are most likely no harder than other jackets on the Amaxes.

If you look after it & don't get it to hot (that's what kills accuracy/barrel life the fastest) it should last 3-5K+, 45-75 kgs of powder & 144-245 kgs of projectiles

Its bitter sweet that this will be at Tobys and he wont. I know he would have loved to have a play and have a dig about the action being sloppy compared to his Howa

Its younger brother, very nice to use but accuracy was average, adequate for its intended purpose though

I took it for a burn again today with some more loads

Unfortunately its still coppering enough to upset accuracy after 15-20 rounds



Its showing a fair bit of promise, looking forward to stretching its legs

Shot it at 1860 yards in the weekend.

Wanted to go to 2K but the snow didn't allow that.
