    Another 6.5 x 47 Lapua

I built this one on an ex 308 Tikka T3X

    It has a 22" 1-8 Bartlein #2B barrel with M14 x 1 muzzle thread & I threw one of my 7mm suppressors on it.

I built it to see what my new generic reamer was like, its no neck turn, with the 140 EH & 143, 147 Hornadys fitting in the standard mag, just

It kinda likes the same load as the last one I built, 1st & 2nd groups it has shot, 1/2 a grain apart

It doesn't shoot the 143 ELDX as well, but that really is a 1st world problem... will try the 147 ELDMs in the weekend, it is for sale once I've finished with it

Nice Greg. 6.5x47+berger notwithstanding, good shooting on your part too!

Tell me about the reamer/chamber then; what is the neck please, around 0.294", and more interestingly did you stick with the same diameter down the length or opt for a taper? What did the freebore dimension end up at please ?

I shoot all my rifles. except the benchrest ones. off a bipod with a rear bag, like this pic from the previous 6.5 x 47 Lapua, link below.

I used the Oehler because my Labradar is sick which explains the small velocity difference, the Labradar reads faster.

Can't argue with thoughts groups but yes very interested in how the 147 goes just finished load development with a 22 inch CM and the 147 lapua brass 2740 the 6.5x47 22 inch might be very close.
1000yds is fun, 1500yds is getting interesting, 2000yds is exciting, 2500yds will blow your mind

Had a play with the 147 ELDM on Saturday, I wasn't shooting very well to be fair

And the 150 SMK even though its supposed to have a 1-7.5 twist I thought why not, seemed pretty happy up close, won't fit the mag though

So now its fired a total of 40 rounds, its job is done & is SPF

Could you not get a long Tikka Mag? Would that solve the issue?

Yep you could or the new slightly longer 6.5 CM factory magazine.

Considering the 150 SMK is a pointed target projectile, it would mostly be used in competition rifles with AI mags so it won't be an issue
