Thread: Carbon 22x47 Lapua

I was very impressed with my first 22x47 Lapua so I built another one for myself



I built it on a T3 Tikka action with a 24" 1-8, 1.13" Proof Research Carbon barrel with KH tactical stock.



I put one of my NF scopes on it for load development.



Took it up the range with a few others yesterday, I have a several hundred 75 Amaxes so decided to use them



Gave it a clean which caused a first shot flier hopefully that doesn't continue.



I gave it a go at 215 yards to see what would happen in the wind.



Even tried some of its sisters 88 ELDMs, I didn't think the 1-8 twist would be quick enough for them



Its shooting very well considering all the shots were with new unfired brass.

Bit faster than the other 22x47 you built, even allowing for the barrel length differences?

I'm not sure there is much in it to be fair, difficult to compare properly with different barrel makes.

I will load them both the same & run them over the Oehler to see difference.

Couple more groups tonight, still got its first round clean shot gremlin...
