Those are Bartlein SS Barrels, not Proof Research carbon ones ;-)

Raw, as they come, unchambered & approx 1" longer weights.

Not cheap now, looking around $17-1750 at the moment.

Worth remembering they have cut not buttoned rifling.

Yes some Bartleins left, no trouble to get more

The Defiances are currently around $31-3200 depending on configuration.

I know proof has been around a hell of a lot longer than Hardy carbon barrels, so what are the major differences between the two?
Looking at a 6.5 creedmoor running the 143gr eldx precision hunter ammo. Hardy have apparently had a spec reamer designed specifically for that ammo.

Proof Research are a cut barrel, like Kreiger, Rock Creek, Bartlein etc not a button barrel.

The Carbon Fibre is applied a completely different way.

All the Proof Reserach barrels I have used so far have shot incredibly well.
