    I have no idea but given the level of repeatability with the factory ammo I would say they probably were.

    Would need to put a bit of Melamine out at that range to confirm.

    Is that barrel a stainless or CM? Any idea what are the minimum barrel wall thickness you can get away with for these larger calibres?

    The Barrels are SS, not sure on minimum thickness, it is a pretty low pressure round being a straight walled case.

    We were going to flute the barrels but decided they were thin enough already

    VC you'll have to come up next time, havent been deer up there for a long time, too much activity, will put another handful of gongs up when i have the time and effort. Greg got me on the .50 as well, neckshots gong plates didnt dent at all!!!!

    Hey mate i have recently purchased a 450 bushmaster but struggle to find any other ammo,other than the hornady black. Did you do the reloading yourself for the sub sonic ammo or did you have someone else doing it ? if so i would love to get in touch and get some made up for my gun if you are semi local to me (hamilton - taupo - tauranga)

    Yes loaded myself

    Easy to get more performance than the factory loads as they are built to suit the AR 15 as well
