    as per that comment, at the time on another thread with that rifle someone posted up a link/table with an article testing this.
    Very surprising at how short you could go and while the 16" was an old benchmark it certainly wasn't as cut and dried.

    I realise that it is designed for shooting bailed pigs at close range , but did you give any consideration to some basic open sights ?
    I assume it won’t be scoped .

    The customer didn't want any sights or anything else that could get in the way, catch up in the crap he is constantly going through chasing Pigs & Dogs

    He admits he is extremely hard on gear & doesn't have a problem with that, if it breaks he will replace it.

    Has there been any updates on how this setup has performed and survived the rough and tumble of pig hunting?
    I was talking to a friend yesterday who was considering something similar and I remembered this thread .

    from memory too short and subs stop being subs... when loaded to be just subsonic from a "std" length barrel can allow them to crack due to less friction to slow them
