@hotbarrels yep can not beat it ,when we do our Raft or fly in trips ,l take a frozen version of it in, simply heat & serve, it also doubles to keep the chilly bin cold .We normally have it after the first full days hunt when every one has gone hard & late ,just leave it defrosting in the camp oven & first ones back heat up for a quick hearty feed, usually with some noodles .

Looks great but never understand why everyone wants to disguise the flavour of their food with garlic

Yep what I do on fly or boat in trips, make a big bloody stew.....fill camp oven to top put in freezer....eat rest for tea.
Then you know you have one big hearty meal ready to go for a full crew after a big day with zero prep other than light the fire.
If frozen solid it can go anywhere from day one to day ten (in a chilly bin).

Garlic doesn't disguise the flavor it adds to it in the same way that salt or stock or anything else does.....tho it must be cooked.....but not overcooked then it becomes very bitter.
If the garlic is disguising the flavor you are doing it wrong one way or another.

You and I both know there are limited amounts of people on this planet let alone our small country who would finish a man sized helping of that....
I will put forth some names of likely contenders....I am not sure I would be up to the challenge atm but would put in some training if some sort of dumb cunt chilly eating thing was organised
    Maybe at the Toby shoot?

i still grow chilis inc the carolina reaper, 10 years ago i grew bhut joloka, about 1 million on the scoville scale.

anyway i made some home made vodka, put some in a hip flask and added 4 chilis in there for a month before removing them, at this stage the chilis were devoid of pretty much all heat.
so i kept the bottle in the freezer so it was sub zero, called home just before the work xms party and decided i would get even with a few people.
one of these guys was a 2metre tall guy who was "bulletproof" in his own opinion .
so i asked if he would like a glass. he poured a huge nip and swigged it down himself.
" yeah a bit warm".......5.......4......3..........2.....1..... ....a puke that linda blair in the exorcist would have been proud to claim.

next day at a jobsite they couldnt find him most of the day but could hear the crying from the portaloo

I don't mind admitting, that I would be going for a child sized portion.....
However, I have tried the mad dog straight off a tooth pick.

Anyone that says they like it real hot, and still says it after that, my hat off to them.
I'm not doing it again..... Well not before a lot of beer and bullshit.
@Gibo I think drank it with a straw.......

VC I saw what you did to Angus (no, what Angus did to himself) at The last Toby shoot so although I have eaten a lot of chilli and curry in my time, I would exercise extreme caution when it comes to eating one of yours as there is a possibility that I could end up passing my pace maker through my ring piece.
