I'm trying to do the self sufficiency thing so goats are a great protein source. I have got access to "easy" deer but then get the "It's ok for you; you can hunt deer on farms" comments. So I make a point of hunting goats on DOC land so I can throw it back at them; that anyone can hunt on that land if you get off your arse..... I write for a living so have to walk the talk as I write about these subjects.... Goat is incredibly underrated; and I really get sick of the "They make a good curry" comments. You can pretty much do anything with goat that you can with lamb/hogget/mutton,
